A Walk Around the Block – Ready, Steady, Go!

Dear Friends,

A Walk Around the Block
I’d like to extend a warm welcome to Wana Shue who joins Arundhati Vyas on team Ready, Steady, Go! Wana is a folk artist and folk medicine worker exhibiting through this website. Their medicine of patience, presence, and sacred intuition saturate their birthwork and ceremony support. With Beyond Holistic they write to promote rituals of reflection, collective contribution, and cross pollination.

In their own words:

It’s with sweet pleasure that I am writing my first piece with Beyond Holistic. Recently introduced to the Ready, Steady, Go! team I appreciate the approachability of the suggestions, scaling focal impact from the individual level to reach global systems. May this progression aid depth in our awareness and in our agency.

As seasons are changing, winter shifting into spring for the northern hemisphere, I invite a pause to notice adaptation through our ecosystems. Wherever you are, in whatever climate, time evolves our landscape. Relationships between flora and fauna change to uplift new life and in the lengthening days the older become wiser. With the forward momentum of spring, I will offer some practices to engage a new or remembered mindfulness.”

This week’s Ready, Steady, Go! action item is to engage your health and heart by simply taking a walk around the block with your senses alive and alert for what surrounds you. Please let us know your experience with it as a comment on the post, Facebook, or Twitter with the hashtags #ReadySteadyGo and #WalkAroundTheBlock

As always, we welcome your support for any of our efforts.

Stay tuned for Writing Your UnPrescription next Saturday, 23 April 2022.

*Fun fact: Australia’s biggest export is boomerangs. It’s also their biggest import.

I invite each of you to submit a joke or a riddle for the next newsletter.

Looking forward, staying present,

Ending Racism Starts Within! In recent months especially, acts of police brutality, voter suppression, and backlash against kneeling in sports have highlighted the racism that continues to exist in not only the U.S. but all over the world. Black Lives Matter!
